COVID-19 Information

In order for in-person sessions to take place, the following precautions are necessary.  These have been outlined by Public Health and the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario.

  • All clients and accompanying family members will be asked to complete a COVID-19 screen as outlined by Ontario Ministry of Health.  Screening questions will be reviewed before each appointment.

  • Masks are required for all parents/caregivers.  Children who are unable to tolerate a mask will not be required to wear one.  A face shield will be available for your child to wear if he/she prefers.  The therapist will be wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (i.e. a face shield and/or mask; gloves if touching the child's face/mouth is necessary).

  • Hand sanitizer will be available.  Everyone (clients, caregivers and therapist) will be required to clean hands at the beginning and at the end of each session and as needed throughout the session.

  • Physical distancing will be attempted to be maintained but please be aware that it may not be possible at all times.  A plexiglass shield will be used for activities at the table.

  • Toys and materials will be thoroughly cleaned before each session.

  • Please limit attendance to one adult per child, whenever possible.  If siblings must attend, they will not be permitted to touch or play with the toys and materials.
